Mimesis 32.5 – Processor
The Mimesis 32.5 is the Reference version of the new Goldmund preamplifiers family. A successor to the Mimesis 24, it has a much higher DSP power that will allow it to handle the most advanced configurations such as the ones used in the Goldmund Media Room. Its 3 x A/D converters of highest quality will allow all kind of possible connections both in 2-channel and Home Theater environments. It can distribute any number of speakers in a room in order to achieve maximum coverage in both bandwidth and space recreation. This innovation has totally surpassed today’s limits, achieving levels of reality never thought possible before.
With the acoustic corrections brought by our Proteus software, the Mimesis 32.5 room correction capabilities are endless and unique in the industry. Compatible with all kind of sources, outputting 32 channels in 96kHz 24 bits high resolution digital format, the Mimesis 32.5 will rapidly become the reference preamplifier-controller of any ultra-high-level Audio and Video system, even in 2 channels.
By outputting only digital signals, it allows large installations to run only digital cables, with far less quality loss than with analog interconnects.
The Mimesis 32.5 offers the ultrahigh quality Goldmund “Mechanical Grounding” construction using brass, aluminum and hard-steel in a traditional Swiss precision assembly.

Mimesis 16.5 – Processor
The Mimesis 16.5 offers the same features as the Mimesis 16 preamplifier and extends this model for fanatics of Home-Theater. Outputting 16 channels in 96kHz 24 bits high resolution digital format, it processes surround sound in a way that you have never heard before, creating for the viewer a sense of total immersion in a completely lifelike surround image.
Although it supports extremely complex filtering configurations necessary for the best home theater systems, the Mimesis 16.5 is also particularly user-friendly and easy to set up for stereo or multichannel music rooms.
Thanks to its incredible DSP capability, the Mimesis 16.5 (along with the Goldmund Mimesis 32) is the most performing sound processor existing today. It allows each speaker’s driver to be separately adjusted in frequency response, phase response and time response and to introduce the Leonardo correction to compensate for any built-in crossover. With the acoustic corrections brought by our Proteus software, its room correction capability makes it a revelation in all systems. The timing of each channel can be adjusted in increments of 0.01 ms, so that the listener hears sounds at precisely the same time no matter from which speaker they originate. But more, the number of channels it outputs (16 vs. 7 for most processors on the market) allows a maximum coverage in both bandwidth and space recreation. For instance, additional subwoofers can be added, and adjusted so that their sound is perfectly coherent and complementary with the other subwoofers. Using the Universal Preamplifier to create additional surround channels in this manner produces an unprecedentedly smooth and natural surround effect, in which the location of each speaker is impossible to determine by ear.
The Proteus and Leonardo technologies have been developed by Goldmund and no other brand on the market has reached the level of correction offered in our processors.
Just like the Mimesis 16, it integrates the latest version of A/D created by Goldmund: the famous Alize 7. It uses multiple A/D to increase its dynamic range and produce a next to perfect phase linearity.

A new version of the legendary FM Acoustics 268 preamplifer is coming soon.
268-C now has a new feature – a acoustic resonance compensation (ARC) circuit.
The ARC minimizes room modes and other resonances. Room modes occur when parallel surfaces create one or more pronounced resonances (a sharp Sound Pressure Level (SPL) increase at specific frequencies).
In a typical rectangular room the 1st principal resonance is occurring at 1/2 wavelength of opposite walls (this is why it is not a good idea to listen while sitting close to walls) – in above graph this is “P1” (graph is smoothed to only show the two principal resonances). The 2nd resonance is at double this frequency (“P2”).
Depending on room size the 1st and 2nd resonances can occur anywhere from around 100 Hz down to below 20 Hz. Such a resonant peak is superimposing itself on the actual music mainly resulting in boominess and poor low frequency definition.
Professional studios can ameliorate such room modes but size, construction limits and cost preclude this for home environments. Usual “hi-fi” absorbers work relatively well for middle and higher frequencies but with reasonably sized domestic absorbers such low frequencies room modes cannot be attenuated efficiently.
The ARC circuits are also ideal if there are resonances from other sources in the room, e.g. air conditioning or any other resonating surface or room component. These circuits are unique to the FM 268-C. They are pure analogue circuits and do not interfere with the music.
No A/D and D/A conversion is done. The integrity of the existing systems signal reproduction remains. The set up of the ARC needs test equipment and is performed for FM 268-C owners by FM ACOUSTICS official distributors.

Telos 3500+ – Power Amplifier
Delivering 3500 Watts RMS with the lowest distortion figure ever measured, the Goldmund Telos 3500+ is the best and most spectacular power amplifier currently delivered by Goldmund, directly inspired by the famous limited series Telos 5000. Like its illustrious predecessor, it can drive any loudspeaker with true ease, providing an incredibly powerful sound. Telos 2500+ – Power Amplifier
The Telos 2500+ is born out of the alliance of the Telos 600 and Millenium amplifiers. It includes the incredible accuracy and power of the Telos 600 and the exact mechanical construction of the famous Millennium amplifier. The Telos 2500+ has the same dimensions and finish as the Millenium amplifier, except for the front screen.
The Telos 2500+ has been designed to provide much more power on low impedance speakers. It offers both dynamics and transparency and easily handles the most demanding audio applications.
Its circuit time accuracy is unique, with more than 100ps. It uses a high bandwidth circuit with minimal group delay distortion, taking great care of the cut-off distribution nodes so the group delay distortion is not measurable inside the audio bandwidth.
This mono amplifier includes the Alize technology with an Alize 6 input D/A converter that improves linearity and static protection.
With 12 separate high-power transformers, 2 separate low-power transformers and a separate power supply for the safety circuitry, the Telos 2500 is one of the safest amplifiers on the market. It benefits from a three-year labor and parts warranty.

Telos 1000+ – Power Amplifier
The Telos 1000+ is the best seller of the Telos line. It owes its success to the fact that it has been designed with the most advanced technologies developed by Goldmund for the Telos 5000 and Telos 2500 amplifiers. Just like them, the Telos 1000 is characterized by an impressive absence of harmonic and intermodulation distortions.
Its integrated Alize 6 converter allows a perfect fit with Goldmund universal preamplifiers such as the Mimesis 16, Mimesis 16HD or Mimesis 32.
The Telos 1000+ also features a new ultra-low impedance power supply technology (from the Telos 5000) for a better speaker control, especially at low frequencies. The result is a sound that is incredibly powerful and extremely clear.
The thermal grounding full implementation (the large gold-plated copper buffer plate at the back of the unit) in the Telos 1000+ has two noticeably significant effects on the sound: better dynamic and lower coloration. This result is even more reinforced by the mechanical grounding of the unit that eliminates all spurious vibrations.
The Telos 1000+, like the other amplifiers of the Telos line, incorporates a parallel fault sensing circuit that clamps its output in a matter of nanoseconds, protecting the amplifier itself and its associated speakers.

Telos 350+ – Power Amplifier
The Telos 350+ is the latest Goldmund Power Amplifier.
This mono block is built with a new full-aluminum Mechanical Grounding asymmetrical construction. Visually surprising, the asymmetrical effect of having the heatsink on the right side and the weight concentrated on the front right foot proved remarkably efficient and allowed the size and weight of the amplifier to be seriously reduced without quality loss. This design also makes it easily stackable.
The internal circuit is seriously improved over the previous Telos and largely inspired by the recent Telos 5000, Goldmund masterpiece. Using the same type of capacitors, a revised input circuit and no less than an Alize 6 D/A circuit, the only sacrifice on the Telos 350+ is the suppression of the analog level control. Its approximate 3dB steps are rendered unnecessary by the easy adjustment to the half dB inside a Goldmund universal preamplifier.
To improve the peace of mind of clients who use several Telos 350+, its protection circuitry is the most advanced of any Telos amplifier so far; it makes it perfectly safe in case of short-circuit and many other typical electrical incidents.
The Telos 350+ real power will remain undisclosed… But the company says it will be much more powerful than a Telos 400 despite its reasonable price. Knowing that the Telos 600 has been recently discontinued, it may be concluded that it can drive quite anything.
In addition, the Telos 350 is the first amplifier that can be mixed with the existing Telos 2500, Telos 1000 or Telos 600 in a Proteus configuration, providing a substantial economy on large Proteus systems such as the Full Goldmund Epilogue. The Telos 350 can drive its tweeters and even the Epilogue 1 Signature woofers.
Last, but not least, the Telos 350 provides an internal connection for an optional pluggable DSP board, just like the U-Telos amplifiers of the Goldmund Media Room. Connectable to a laptop by an USB connector, the future DSP board will allow Amplitude, Phase and Delay to be adjusted to set the Telos 350 in any configuration, including a complete Media Room environment.
