A-1 ver.2
■A single push-pull output stage with large TO-3P high-output, low-Cob transistors in a four-stage Darlington configuration eliminates sound bleeding while boasting overwhelming driving power.
■A fully discrete, completely non-feedback circuit is used throughout. Its extremely simple configuration consists of a power amplifier with a selector and volume control. Like our flagship A-3, this is a necessary configuration for preserving the clarity of the audio signal.
■The conventional LED bias circuit has been replaced with a newly developed bias circuit, dramatically improving signal-to-noise ratio.
■The circuit that eliminates CR resonance uses ultra-high-quality resistors that maintain impedance up to high frequencies. This achieves both high-quality sound and stability without limiting the bandwidth, maintaining clarity.
■A newly developed, non-impregnated toroidal power transformer is used. By deliberately suppressing the secondary output voltage (maximum amplifier output), current supply capacity is improved. It delivers impressive driving power that bounces and bounces smoothly, even with today’s low-impedance high-end speakers.
■Two XLR and two RCA inputs.
■The relay-based input selector and relay-based resistor-switching volume are faithful to the original.

E-1 ver.2
■In addition to the conventional MC/MM input, an optical cartridge input has been added. Unusually for a product in this class, discrete non-feedback circuits are used for all analog circuits.
■The analog circuit for optical cartridges generously incorporates the New Type-R circuit developed for the E-3.
■The dedicated optical cartridge power supply also uses the same discrete non-feedback regulator as the higher-end model. This is the source of the organic, passionate sound.
■The newly developed, simplified analog circuit has also dramatically improved the sound quality of MC/MM.
■The original LED bias circuit has been eliminated, replaced by a newly developed bias circuit. The signal-to-noise ratio has been dramatically improved.
*The New Type-R circuit is a general term for fully balanced non-feedback circuits consisting of ground-to-ground amplification and ground-to-ground emitter follower.

D-1 ver.2
■The analog circuit uses the New Type-R circuit developed for the E-3, optimized for DAC use. The power supply circuit also generously incorporates the same non-feedback regulator circuit as our higher-end models.
■The ES9038PRO, which boasts a simple design without unnecessary features yet powerful current output, is used for left and right channels independently. Of course, SOULNOTE’s unique NOS mode is also selectable.
■By virtually eliminating the analog LPF, the organic, lively music reproduction inherent to NOS is achieved. This effect is also effective during DSD playback.
■The IV conversion circuit, which is extremely important for achieving richly musical sound, also uses the same resistor IV circuit as our higher-end models.
■A large, unimpregnated toroidal transformer of power amplifier grade is used. In combination with the non-feedback power supply, it enables passionate music reproduction beyond its class.
*The New Type-R circuit is a general term for fully balanced, non-feedback circuits composed of ground-to-ground amplification and ground-to-ground emitter follower.
