Blackwood will present the world premiere of its new Hyperion loudspeaker system in the Copse room at Audio Show Deluxe 2026.

HYPERION OPEN BAFFLE LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM
Hyperion is an open baffle loudspeaker design developed to deliver high levels of fidelity to the source material. At the foundation of the system are twin 18 inch bass drivers operating in a dipole configuration, designed to produce deep bass while maintaining the natural decay and spatial openness associated with open baffle designs.
COAXIAL DRIVER DESIGN
Above the bass section sits a coaxial driver combining a 10 inch midrange with a horn loaded tweeter. This configuration is intended to maintain time alignment and point source imaging across the midrange and high frequency spectrum.
FULLY ACTIVE ARCHITECTURE
The Hyperion system is fully active, removing passive crossovers from the signal path. Digital crossovers manage driver integration and phase response, while eight Purifi Eigentakt monoblock amplifiers provide dedicated amplification to each driver.
Room integration is handled through Dirac Live, which is used to optimise system performance within the listening space.
Visitors can experience the world premiere of the Hyperion system in the Copse room during Audio Show Deluxe 2026.
