Blackwood will present the world premiere of its new Hyperion loudspeaker system in the Copse room at Audio Show Deluxe 2026.
HYPERION OPEN BAFFLE LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM
Hyperion is an open baffle loudspeaker design developed to deliver high levels of fidelity to the source material. At the foundation of the system are twin 18 inch bass drivers operating in a dipole configuration, designed to produce deep bass while maintaining the natural decay and spatial openness associated with open baffle designs.
COAXIAL DRIVER DESIGN
Above the bass section sits a coaxial driver combining a 10 inch midrange with a horn loaded tweeter. This configuration is intended to maintain time alignment and point source imaging across the midrange and high frequency spectrum.
FULLY ACTIVE ARCHITECTURE
The Hyperion system is fully active, removing passive crossovers from the signal path. Digital crossovers manage driver integration and phase response, while eight Purifi Eigentakt monoblock amplifiers provide dedicated amplification to each driver.
Room integration is handled through Dirac Live, which is used to optimise system performance within the listening space.
Visitors can experience the world premiere of the Hyperion system in the Copse room during Audio Show Deluxe 2026.
MAGICO S7 2026 HAYWARD,CA (USA)// March 2, 2026-Magico,the global leader in high-performanceloudspeaker design and manufacture, is proud to announce the S7 2026 loudspeaker. The monumental conclusion to Magico’s critically acclaimed S Series has arrived.Introducing the S7 2026-a 384-pound, five-driver,three-way loudspeaker and the ultimateexpression of the S Series legacy. The S Series was redefined in 2023 with the debut of the groundbreaking S3, setting a newbenchmark for performance. The following year brought the larger, more ambitious S5,pushing the series even further. In late 2024, Magico unveiled the remarkably compact S2,delivering astonishing power and resolution in a smaller form factor. Now, the journeyreaches its pinnacle with the commanding S7-bold, uncompromising, and definitive.
Proven Performance The Magico S7 is the result of an extensive research-and-development program thatintroduced advanced engineering methodologies now fundamental to the flagship M Series.During development,Magico employed a Near-Field Scanner (NFS) robot to performcomprehensive acoustic measurements across the entire 3D sphere surrounding theloudspeaker. This exhaustive analysis of on- and off-axis behavior produced a completeacoustic map of the S7, enabling Magico engineers to refine its performance withextraordinary precision. The result is a loudspeaker that approaches the theoretical ideal fora multi-way design-delivering sound reproduction of exceptional accuracy, coherence, andrealism. Engineered Silence The S7’s massive aluminum enclosure features a curved, sculpted form refined throughadvanced 3D simulation to dramatically reduce internal resonances. The structure enhancesrigidity while enabling Magico’s proprietary damping techniques to perform at their highestlevel. The curved front baffle further minimizes diffraction, improving overall acousticperformance. Using a Laser Vibrometer, Magico engineers identified even the most minute cabinetvibrations and the sound pressure they generated. This forensic level of analysis allowed unwanted resonances to be eliminated early in the design process-achieving one of theS7’s most critical objectives: a cabinet that contributes no audible coloration, preserving thepurity of the musical signal. A further result of this optimization, the S7’s internal volume has been increased from 135liters to 180 liters compared to the previous S Series flagship. This expansion extends bassresponse by an additional 5Hz while maintaining the same speaker sensitivity-deliveringdeeper,more authoritative low-frequency performance without compromise. Precision in Motion Driver technology lies at the core of every Magico loudspeaker design, and the S7 representsthe brand’s most advanced work to date. At the heart of the S7 is Magico’s Nano-Tec Gen 8 cone, featuring an aluminum-honeycombcore sandwiched between graphene-reinforced carbon-fiber skins. Enabled by cutting-edgemanufacturing techniques, this structure achieves an unprecedented combination of lowmass, extreme rigidity, and superior damping-resulting in remarkably low distortion. Complementing the cone design is an all-new, third-generation driver chassis developedover three years of intensive research. This re-engineered platform improves forcedistribution, refines suspension geometry, and employs a dual-post architecture to balancedynamic wire tension. The result is exceptional stiffness with optimal damping, minimizedresonance, and improved airflow for cleaner, more accurate sound.
Drawing from technology first realized in the M Project loudspeaker, the S7 employs threewoofers vertically aligned. This configuration mitigates floor-bounce effects and smooths in-room frequency response, producing more predictable and linear midbass performance inreal-world listening environments. Five Drivers,One Voice The S7’s high-frequency performance is anchored by a tweeter derived directly from theacclaimed M Series. Its 28mm diamond-coated pure-beryllium diaphragm offers anextraordinary stiffness-to-weight ratio, driven by a powerful neodymium motor system forlow distortion and increased power handling. Extensive FEA modeling was used toacoustically optimize the tweeter’s back chamber, resulting in high-frequency reproductionrich in nuance, texture, and transparency. Midrange duties are handled by a 6-inch driver featuring a 3-inch titanium voice coil housedin Magico’s third-generation chassis. Utilizing the Nano-Tec Gen 8 cone, along with a fullcopper cap and oversized neodymium magnets, this driver delivers benchmark-levelperformance in both frequency response and time-domain accuracy-producing midrangeclarity and realism of remarkable fidelity. For low-frequency reproduction, the S7 surpasses every S Series model before it. Three 10-inch woofers-each equipped with a 5-inch titanium voice coil, Nano-Tec Gen 8 cone, massive copper cap, and half an inch of linear excursion-deliver bass that is bothprofoundly deep and exceptionally controlled. The result is powerful, room-filling low-frequency energy that preserves the integrity of the original recording. Coherence by Design The S7’s five drivers are unified through Magico’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover (ESXO), athree-way design employing acoustical-target 24dB Linkwitz-Riley slopes. This approachmaintains phase and frequency linearity while reducing intermodulation distortion, allowingthe drivers to operate as a single, cohesive system. The ESXO crossover incorporates an array of state-of-the-art components from Mundorf ofGermany. For the first time in an S Series loudspeaker, the S7 also features CAST PP Radialcapacitors from Duelund Coherent Audio of Denmark. The result is complete coherenceacross the audible spectrum-seamless, natural, and uncompromised. Accoutrements The S7 is available in a curated selection of premium finishes, including six Softec (powdercoat) options renowned for their deep, vibrant color, silky-smooth texture, and exceptionaldurability, as well as six High Gloss (automobile paint) finishes polished to a mirror-likesheen and sealed with a protective clear coat. Supporting the enclosure is a precision-engineered three-foot support system featuring constrained-layer damping and premiummaterials, further enhancing mechanical stability and sonic performance.
Monumental in Scale Rarely has high-end audio witnessed a product series that reshaped an entire category.TheS Series accomplished exactly that-delivering reference-level performance at price pointspreviously thought unattainable. Now, its ultimate expression stands revealed. Bold. Imposing. Limitless. The Magico S7 2026 is a true flagship-an icon of high-performance loudspeaker design. Unico DM v2
Overview
The Unico DM v2 is the new flagship power amplifier in the Unico series, featuring a completely renewed design that is both elegant and modern. The project reflects the new stylistic language of the Unico product family, officially introduced with Unico PRE v2 and Unico DM v2.
Design
The front panel, machined from a solid 15-mm-thick aluminium block, conveys exceptional solidity and build precision. The Midnight Black and Velvet Gold finishes enhance every design detail, while the meticulously refined surface is pleasing both to the touch and to the eye. The 2-mm-thick aluminium top cover wraps around the entire amplifier, reinforcing a sense of robustness and visual continuity.
Wooden inserts recall the historic Unico logo, underlining the brand’s heritage. The Unison Research® logo itself becomes the On/Off power button: a distinctive detail that seamlessly combines functionality and identity.
Hybrid Architecture
Unico DM v2 adopts a refined dual-mono architecture, in which each channel is powered by its own 750 VA encapsulated toroidal transformer, potted and shielded to minimize electromagnetic interference. This approach ensures complete channel separation and delivers a wide, stable and three-dimensional soundstage. In bridged mono mode, the power supplies are connected in parallel to provide an even greater energy reserve.
The three-stage amplification circuit has been designed to combine musicality, control and dynamics. The first stage, a Class A valve stage using two ECC82 / 12AU7 Gold Lion valves, is the tonal heart of the amplifier, delivering speed, fine detail and a natural sound that conveys the full emotional impact of music. The second stage is solid-state and operates transparently to adapt the signal to the output stage. The final power stage features an innovative complementary push-pull configuration, using three parallel pairs of MOSFETs. Designed to deliver all the current required by the load, it ensures authoritative control, wide dynamics and consistently smooth, stable performance.
A.S.H.A.
With Unico DM v2, Unison Research® introduces the A.S.H.A. technology for the first time, marking a significant technical evolution that forms the foundation of the new Unico series developed around this innovative solution. From this technology comes a new and exclusive power-stage configuration, named Class A-AB, which combines the unmistakable musicality of Class A with the efficiency and reliability typical of Class AB.
The new architecture of Unico DM v2 ensures distortion levels that are virtually inaudible to the human ear, remaining consistent up to maximum output power. The result is extremely natural reproduction, rich in micro-detail and capable of conveying the full musical complexity without artefacts. Even at low listening levels, the amplifier retains body, control and depth in the low frequencies, delivering a full and engaging sound under all conditions.
At the same time, Unico DM v2 is a highly powerful amplifier: a generous and constantly available energy reserve allows it to drive even demanding loudspeakers with authority. In monophonic (bridged) operation, the two power supplies are electrically paralleled, effectively transforming the dual-mono architecture into a true monophonic amplifier with a single, powerful power supply. This configuration makes full use of the available energy capacity and has been engineered to deliver maximum output power with both 8-ohm and 4-ohm loudspeakers, offering immediate dynamics, great impact, and a sensation of absolute control—without ever sacrificing refinement and naturalness.

We realize some of you may be aware, but silver bullion prices have been soaring over the past year. The rate of increase has been barticularly steep during the month of January 2026. This unacceptable situation forced us to stop all ongoing raw silver purchases without a chance of consideration. And have to adjust our sales arrangement accordingly. With immediate effect, the order taking of 4 items below is suspended until further notice.
1.SPs-2.7 silver speaker cable and jumper 2. Theme 41 silver interconnect and armcable 3.ACz-AVOCADO silver power cord 4. Gakuoh II monaural power amplifier
In fact, silver is used on all KONDO products. But the 4 items above have the most significant linkages to our current silver purchases Therefore we must wait until the trend of silver price getstable. Then to define new product costs for the 4 items
We fully understood this sudden arrangement will definitely gives trouble to you. Please accept our deepest apologies.
