• Constellation Audio Performance 2 Preamplifier

    The Ultimate Line Stage

The Constellation Performance 2 Preamplifier delivers an unmatched combination of sound quality, user-friendliness and flexibility. Its performance is elevated to even higher levels with a separate, physically isolated power supply featuring our proprietary Switch Mode Power Supply incorporating core technologies that achieve their fullest potential in the elite Performance 2 series.

    Classic Circuitry

Constellation’s Line Stage Gain Module employs fully balanced, mirror-imaged circuits with hand-matched, ultra-low-noise transistors. A unique servo circuit monitors the signal balance and corrects for any inaccuracies. When used with a Constellation amplifier, it can feed the preamplifier output to the amplifier’s Constellation Direct XLR input, thus bypassing the amplifier’s input stage for sound that is even more pure and refined.

    SMPS Power Supply

Constellation engineers spent years refining the application of Switch-Mode Power Supply technology, knowing that despite the engineering challenges, SMPS would deliver far better results than those achieved by transformer-based linear power supplies. The result is DC voltage more than 20 dB quieter, with the same predictably excellent results regardless of AC wall voltage. The power supply is further isolated from the sensitive preamplifier circuits by placing it in a separate aluminum enclosure, thick enough to block all interference.

    True Dual Mono

The mirrored circuit layout positions the left channel precisely opposite the right channel. Inputs and outputs are entirely separated, with the left-channel inputs and outputs on one side of the rear panel and the right-channel inputs and outputs on the other. Many dual-mono preamplifiers recombine the channels at the inputs and outputs, negating the benefits of this elegant design.

    A New Reference

The Performance 2 Preamplifier incorporates the most evolved technology, circuits, meticulous design and musicality of any Constellation preamplifier. Paired with the Performance 2 Stereo or Monoblock Amplifiers, it becomes the nucleus of the most sophisticated and satisfying audio system.

  • Constellation Audio Performance 2 Stereo  /  Monoblock Amplifier

    A New Reference

The Constellation Performance 2 Stereo and Monoblock Amplifiers are among the veryfinest amplifiers ever built, engineered to deliver an unmatched combination of soundquality and unbridled power.

    The Input Stage

The Line Stage Gain Module input stage utilizes hand-matched, low-noise transistorscombined with a servo circuit that corrects any signal balance inconsistencies. TheConstellation Direct XLR input removes one amplification stage from the signal path forless complexity and even greater musicality with these Performance 2 flagships.

    The Power Supply

Performance 2 elevates sound to a new level with our revolutionary Switch-Mode PowerSupply (C-SMPS), the best amplifier power supply ever created. Power FactorCorrection (PFC) technology provides stable power at any AC supply voltage—worldwide. Voltage and current are always in phase regardless of speaker load, powerover the previous version is increased by 20 percent, and noise is more than 20 dBlower than a typical linear power supply.

    The Circuit

The Performance 2 amplifiers employ balanced configuration, using separate amplifiercircuits for the positive and negative halves of the audio signal. Other balancedamplifiers use N-type transistors for the positive half of the circuit and P-type transistorsfor the negative half. Our Balanced Bridged configuration uses only N-type transistors,so both signal halves pass through exactly the same circuitry—with even the softestmusical details preserved.

    The Performance Pinnacle

The Performance 2 amplifiers further refine the proven circuits and core designphilosophy that are the Constellation design ethos. Through a combination ofConstellation’s innovative audio circuits and revolutionary C-SMPS power supply, thePerformance 2 amplifiers achieve truly astounding sonic results, eclipsing that of theirpredecessors and even the outgoing Reference series. Musiclovers seeking an unrivaled listening experience will be amply rewarded.

  • Diapason speakers Didascalìa BY Paolo Tezzon

    Background
Alessandro Schiavi and Paolo Tezzon share the spiritual and cul-tural duty to authentically tribute some of the most fruitful princi-ples of what could be defined as the “Italian school of electroa-coustic design” for home interiors, in the humble hope of makingthem further evolve. “Didascalìa” is – eminently – a cultural ope-ration: it’s about knowledge transmission. A knowledge that Ales-sandro and Paolo strongly believe shouldn’t be lost.
“Didascalia”, in ancient Greek language, means exactly “tea-ching”, “knowledge” and it is the result of the creative imple-mentation of several lessons coming from the school of Italianelectro-acoustic design.
    Concept
There is a design concept which has been typical, which alwayscharacterized the “Italian school of electro acoustic for home in-teriors”: the two-way configuration. Such a set-up is able to provi-de the maximum amount of purity, immediacy and musicality tothe reproduction. All the good things such a design choice is ableto “bring to the table” come with limitations in terms of size ofthe soundstage and in terms of extension in the low frequencies.Didascalìa stays faithful to such a configuration but aim to over-come those limitations with creative design solutions.
    Cabinet construction
The two Didascalìa outside “wings” are obtained coupling to-gether 8 seasoned solid walnut slats, cross grained and jointedwith the use of a viscoelasticadvanced glue which will allowfreedom of movement to the slats themselves. Each slat has beenseasoned for months to remove humidity present in the fibersand then vacuum roasted in order to further stabilize it. They arefinished with a “0 gloss” open pore water based natural painting. The outside wings of the lacquered version of Didascalìa are re-alized by means of a sandwich construction involving 3 layers ofextreme hi-density HDF enveloped by a tulipwood veneer. Sucha construction matches the mass and the mechanical propertiesof the solid walnut version. The lacquering is about 8 layers ofcoating, each of them finely hand polished by the skilled artisans. An advanced CNC machining gives to the wings their final shape, which is functional in many ways: they are carved inside provi-ding a reflection and standing waves free loading volume to thespeaker units. They also provide to the overall cabinet a “constrai-ned layer damping mode” construction for a virtually resonan-ce-free enclosure. More, their front part is designed for loadingthe transducer’s emission, optimizing their dispersion patternwhile allowing Didascalia to sound big and complete.
The Didascalìa cabinet main structure is realized with a combina-tion of HDF and high-pressure multilayer Baltic birch wood whilesub-structural ribs are strategically placed inside to strengthen the

overall structure. The Didascalìa cabinet construction is further op-timized in its damping/stiffness ratio by means of Aluminum CNCmachined “damp-shelves” which acts like collectors and dissipatorsof any residual vibration while creating an exo-skeleton, envelopingthe cabinet’s main structure. A state-of-the-art implementation.
    Mechanical time alignment
The eco leather covered baffle has been designed to mechanicallytime align the tweeter and midwoofer’s emission centers, for an op-timal listening distance starting at 2 meters away from Didascalìa,which is the typical set up in any suitable listening room.
This solution allows for an amazing phase coherence, for a perfectset up of the impulse response, which translates into Didascalìa’samazing staging ability.
    Vibration free decoupling system
Didascalìa’s spikes are provided with a compliance calibrated ela-stomer-based suspension system for a vibration-free interface withthe listening environment. This solution has been implemented todecouple the enclosure from the floor, eliminating any acoustic fee-dback and any vibration propagation to the listening room.

    Tweeter

The 29 mm tweeter is based on a Kurt Mueller silk soft dome diaphragm, chosen for its natural sound properties.
This diaphragm is then expertly hand coated to optimize its extensionin the highest frequencies, creating this way a truly hi-resolution device. It’s mounted on a Diapason designed faceplate, conceived to avoiddiffractions and optimize the dispersion patterns.
It’s equipped with a large neodymium magnet system and a non-reso-nant aluminum rear chamber.

    Mid-woofer

The 180mm mid-woofer is a “state of the art” design, based upon an airdried, hand coated, paper/nylon fiber pulp Kurt Mueller cone, a solutionused in several historical extreme quality studiomonitors and chosenfor its transparency and unmistakable musicality. Such a diaphragm isimplemented with simply the best in terms of magnet system, the “Air-circ” configuration. It is based on six neodymium cylinders providing anamazing flux and avoiding any compression for an exceptionally lowdistortion behavior. The magnet circuit also incororates copper rings toreduce non-linear and modulation distortions while increasing overload.Diapason design, manufactured by Scan speak.

The «active» drone units and the electro-magnetic brakc system

The side 220 x 260 mm side “active” racetrack shaped drore units-the passive radiators-allow to achieve another specific Didascalia design goal:Those units are shring the oversized loading enclosure with the front firing mid-woofer which pressurize them.
They have been thoroughly optimized in moving mass and compliance so that,in combination with the special set of custom T&S parameters of themid-woofer.they extend Didascalia extension way below 40 Hz,a remarkable result.
This way it is possible to select between 3 different drone diaphragms excursion damping, by acting on theDidascalia rear switch knob, obtaining thisDesigned by Diapason, manufactured by Scan speak.

  • Ferrum BROEN Network Streaming Transport

    Ferrum BROEN Sneak Peek

    Dear Ferrum Friends:

We’re showcasing and auditioning our latest Ferrum products at two audio shows! Ferrum will be at the Audio Video Show Warsaw (October 24-26) and the Paris Audio Video Show (October 25-27).

We’re giving a sneak peek at an exciting new product!

At both events, we’ll be showcasing BROEN—a Network Streaming Transport—to the public for the first time.

Opening with the tagline “It’s not a streamer…it’s a work of art,” we hope to evoke an image of what a high-end streamer should be like.

Our streaming story begins with the recent WANDLA 2.0.0 firmware update, which introduced Ferrum Streaming Control Technology (FSCT).
This technology transforms the WANDLA series DAC into an ideal partner for a wide range of streamers. In fact, we were already conceiving of BROEN when developing this technology.

BROEN isn’t just any streaming device; we wanted it to set a new standard.
We set out from the ground up, exploring new territories to create the best digital bridge we could imagine, hence the name “BROEN,” which means “bridge” in Danish.

We redesigned the SERCE module from the ground up to focus on the digital realm, creating a completely new “heart” for BROEN.

The innovations are endless, one of which is upgradeability.

The first major upgrade is connecting BROEN to WANDLA.

Using FSCT technology, you can control BROEN using WANDLA’s touchscreen and remote,
creating a perfectly matched streaming DAC/preamplifier system.

Another upgrade option is pairing BROEN (or both BROEN and WANDLA) with HYPSOS,
creating Ferrum’s flagship streaming system. BROEN is powered by Volumio, a streaming-optimized software platform with over 500,000 users, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
We are confident that BROEN is more than just a streamer; it’s a true work of art.

  • Arendal Sound 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition / 25pair

A rare rosewood masterpiece, crafted to celebrate a decade of Arendal Sound.

    NOT A PRODUCT

Ten years ago, we set out to change what people could expect from a loudspeaker to strip away the noise of inflated promises and build something honest, purposeful, and lasting.

Today, we celebrate that journey with the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition

Just 25 pairs exist. Each one is as unique as the rosewood it’s dressed in. Each one is a big thank you to the community who believed in us, and to the moments of sound that brought us all together.

This is not a product line. It is a milestone. A collector’s piece of Norwegian heritage, never to be repeated.

Thank you for all your support.

    CRAFTED IN ROSEWOOD

For the first time, our flagship wears piano-gloss rosewood, a nod to Norway’s design heritage, where rosewood once defined Scandinavian modernism.

Twelve layers of lacquer, each sanded and polished by hand, reveal a finish that glows with depth and character. Against this warmth, satin-black details on the baffle, waveguide, trim-rings and base bring balance and restraint.

Every pair tells its own story through the natural grain of the wood. No two are alike, each is as individual as a fingerprint.

    MADE TO BE REMEMBERED

Every detail has been chosen to honour its rarity.
Chrome-plated stainless steel rear plaque with engraved serial number and the signature of our founder, Jan Ove Lassesen.

Certificate of Authenticity, signed by CTO Thomas Gunvaldsen.

Puck Pro feet included as standard (an upgrade from Puck Plus).

And unlike most collector’s pieces, this one was made to be lived with. To fill rooms, shape moments, and remind you why music matters.

Just 25 pairs worldwide. When they’re gone, they are gone forever.

    REFERENCE BY DESIGN

Beneath the rosewood lies the same reference-level architecture that has made the 1528 Tower 8 our flagship.

28mm lithium-magnesium tweeter, paired with a custom waveguide, delivers crystal clear highs with effortless dispersion.

5” carbon-graphene midrange brings vocals and instruments alive with breathtaking realism.

Four 8” aluminium woofers anchor the music with dynamic, controlled bass that fills the room without overwhelming it.

The entire system is housed in a precision-engineered, 85mm thick, time-aligned baffle, ensuring every driver works in harmony. The curved design directs sound to the listening position with perfect timing, resulting in better phase coherence and preserving purity.

The result isn’t just performance. Its presence. A soundstage that breathes, a rhythm that grips, and details that stay with you long after the final note fades.

Keel SE is the highest-performance LP12 sub-chassis available, with superior stiffness, optimised resonant behaviour and ideal distribution of mass.

The intricate bracing structure machined into the underside of Keel SE – designed using a mixture of manual and computer-aided optimisations – has helped us to achieve our number one goal of increasing sub-chassis stiffness as much as possible. This significant 300% increase versus our previous designs means that any vibrations travelling through Keel SE have their frequencies forced higher, and their energy substantially lowered.

Optimised resonant behaviour allows Keel SE to better break-up and dissipate problematic acoustic energy, reducing its potential impact on the delicate music signal.

By machining aluminium from calculated areas beneath the armboard, Keel SE has its centre of mass balanced more evenly on its suspension compared to other sub-chassis models. This improves weight distribution between the springs, and reduces inertia, improving the critical acoustic isolation properties of any LP12.

    Klimax Radikal

Reference motor control, motor and power supply

    33.333333 is the magic number.

Klimax Radikal features hyper-accurate speed management technology; generating sustained, uniform rotation closer to 33⅓rpm than any turntable.

You’ll experience even more of your music, in perfect pitch, thanks to Klimax Radikal’s digitally managed motor control, bespoke Utopik power supply, and machined aluminium chassis with exceptional electrical and mechanical isolation.

The Utopik power supply is critical to performance, as it possesses separate, dedicated output voltage rails for each of Klimax Radikal’s two specialised tasks: controlling the motor and providing power to Urika internal phono stages. These output rails are separately self-regulating; any sudden, significant draws in power from the motor or controller don’t affect the rails supplying Urika, and vice versa. The independence of these rails ensures consistency and quality of power supplied to both the motor and phono stage, improving the performance of each.

Also critical to performance is Klimax Radikal’s enhanced mechanical isolation. Weighing in at nearly 14kg, machined from three pieces of solid aluminium, and mounted on high-mass stainless-steel feet with rubber ring inserts, its beautifully machined casework is reassuringly robust in the face of external influences.
