The devices we will present are the culmination of almost 6 years developing process. The design was made, as usual, by the irreplaceable, KABO & PYDO.
We are proud to present our latest project — the Reed SF optical cartridge, developed in collaboration with the renowned Japanese company DS Audio.
Unlike traditional MC or MM cartridges, optical cartridge technology offers unique advantages that elevate the listening experience. Free from magnetic resistance and characterized by an exceptionally low moving mass, the stylus moves with remarkable smoothness and precision. These features result in superior sonic performance — something every vinyl enthusiast will appreciate.
To fully harness the potential of this technology, we placed great emphasis on selecting the optimal housing material, focusing on acoustic neutrality and effective vibration damping.
The cartridge body material must be acoustically passive, homogeneous, and exhibit high damping across the entire operational range. To identify the most suitable option, we conducted a comparative study of three materials: aluminum, Panzerholz (tankwood), and 100% HD phenolic resin. Each material sample, identical in shape, was subjected to shock waves of equal amplitude. The decay times of induced acoustic signals were then measured at a fixed distance from the impact point.
The results were conclusive:
Aluminum: sound dissipated after ~120 ms
Panzerholz: ~70 ms
100% HD phenolic resin: just ~15 ms
Given these findings, along with the resin’s additional benefits — including low surface roughness, high density, and excellent elasticity — we chose 100% HD phenolic resin as the material for the Reed SF cartridge body.
To ensure durability and consistent performance, the cartridge housing was also engineered to minimize dust intrusion. Any dust that does enter can be easily removed through a specially designed access point, ensuring a long service life.

The Reed EQ is expertly engineered to receive the signal from the Reed optical cartridge with full capacity, ensuring optimal performance. We have crafted an equalizer that reflects our deep knowledge of high-end audio equipment design principles and techniques. The result is an audio experience that delivers unmatched quality, clarity, and immersion — the unique benefits that only an optical cartridge can provide.
Before you experience the sound, you first need to see and handle the equipment. Both the equalizer and its power supply — inseparable as a product — are crafted from machined aluminum. Their substantial weight and solid construction provide a premium feel, while the anodized surface offers protection from damage. The option to choose between Seashell White and Black versions ensures a seamless match with the rest of your audio equipment.
We follow a distinct electronics design philosophy that we have carefully implemented in our product. We believe that signal integrity, channel symmetry, and noise reduction are essential factors in amplifier design. To ensure the highest performance, we use only the finest components for signal processing. For example, one of the key components is a discrete audio op-amp, which benefits from lower distortion due to minimal thermal coupling between the op-amp components and ensures class A output stage. Additionally, the use of high-quality inductors in the equalizing circuit contributes to better stability, consistency, a more linear response, and lower losses.
The power supply also features several unique innovations. One standout is the use of batteries to supply power to the cartridge LEDs. This fully isolates the LED power supply from the rest of the system, ensuring the lowest possible noise levels. The batteries charge autonomously, without user intervention, and provide an uninterrupted experience. One battery pack is always charging while the other powers the LEDs, with seamless automatic switching. The power supply also incorporates three separate power transformers to power different modules, further isolating the electronic circuits to minimize interference.
The equalizer features RCA (single-ended) input and output connectors, as well as XLR (differential) output connectors. The control panel includes the following:
Mute switch – Removes the signal from the output, useful when mounting or adjusting the cartridge.
Filter switch (30Hz/50Hz) – Selects the high-pass filter cut-off frequency, allowing for better compatibility with different tonearm parameters.
Line/Phono switch – Switches between line and headphone output.
For occasions when listening through loudspeakers is not possible, we’ve included a headphone amplifier with a 6.35mm output socket.
To sum up, we are confident that our equalizer will offer a unique listening experience, allowing the listener to discover a whole new frontier in vinyl playback and shed new light on old records.

What a difference accurate tracking makes!
787 soulution’s new linear tracking reference turntable, engineered for audiophiles who demand nothing less than perfection.
Highlights The 787 turntable features linear tracking with a moving platter and a minimal excursion pivoted tonearm. The tracking error is thus reduced to max. < 0.15°. The 8” tonearm, also compatible with high compliance cartridges, is mounted on an isolated, resonance controlled sub-chassis. The platter slides laterally to keep the pivoted tonearm aligned with a linear tracking path. The 787’s architecture eliminates the friction and unbalanced forces inherent with linear tracking tonearms where the arm is pulled toward the inner grooves by lateral forces on the outer edge of the record’s groove. The 787 provides all the benefits of low friction pivoted tonearms, but without the issues of skating forces, tracking error, and alignment challenges of traditional pivoted tonearms.
Platter The complete platter subassembly consisting of the platter, the sub-platter with a high precision low friction sintered magnetic bearing and the platter drive motor with precious metal brushes, slides laterally underneath the tonearm on polished axles and ensures that the tracking error remains minimal from the outermost to the innermost groove of the vinyl record.
Tonearm The tonearm combines the merits of linear and pivoted tonearms and thus provides the best from both worlds. There are no tracking forces exerted on the tonearm neither are there any issues with skating forces or tracking errors etc. Ultra precise inductive proximity sensors monitor the tonearm position and control the motor for the lateral movement of the platter which ensures that the tracking error always remains below +/- 0.15°. The tonearm features precious metal alloy tonearm cables and is adjustable for VTA and azimuth. When the platter moves into parking position the tonarm swivels out for comfortable exchange of the vinyl record.
Power supply A switched mode power supply with highly efficient DC-DC converters and extremely low-noise and fast linear regulators generate the voltages required for the operation of the 787 turntable.
