The All New Scansonic M-Series
Introducing the all new Scansonic M-series – filled with trickledown technology from the multi award winning sister company Raidho, and featuring high-resolution sound, known from much more expensive speakers.
The M-series is a high-performance range which features a unique ribbon tweeter for clear and highly detailed upper frequencies, as well as specially designed honeycomb Kevlar woofers which offer superior rigidity and performance. Meanwhile, large passive bass drivers on the rear panel add controlled bass and body to each speaker.
The new M-series features larger, heavily braced cabinets compared with the original M-series, adding to a richer depth of sound, and a striking, sleek angular design, making this speaker range slip into any modern living room with ease. At the same time packing a mighty punch using multiple drivers. A stunning combination.
Ribbon Tweeter
The M-series range features Kapton membrane sealed ribbon tweeters. These high-resolution tweeters promise an extremely fast, vivid and wide frequency response, allowing for an exceptionally open and detailed sound at the top end of the frequency spectrum.
It was clear to Scansonic from the very beginning, that some core techniques from the Raidho speakers would be of great importance: The speakers had to be designed around a ribbon tweeter that works with at super lightweight diaphragm that is sealed around the edges to allow for a seamless transition to the midrange region.
Honeycomb Kevlar Cones
The new M-series speakers’ midrange/bass drivers provide a ridged, open and three-dimensional midrange, along with a cleaner, faster bass with a more significant punch and attack. These improvements are thanks to the refined bass and midrange drivers that feature advanced honeycomb-enforced Kevlar cones, combined with a powerful magnet system.
Passive Bass Drivers
Brand new to the M-series is a new sealed cabinet design, with dual passive bass drivers for a more powerful experience. The large oval shaped passive drivers are specially tuned to give the speaker a rich, full bodied sound signature. With their own black cloth grille, the rear drivers are concealed away aiding in the sleek, modern look.
The latest evolution of the M-Series
The latest evolution of Scansonic’s M-series loudspeakers is now available in Australia. The M15.2, M20.2, and M30.2 are the latest loudspeakers from Scandinavian brand.
Like the MB-B Series, the new M-Series is based on technologies that originated in the world-renowned Raidho Acoustics speakers. The M-series features a range of affordable speakers where the goal is to offer a very high-quality level, all wrapped in classical and authentic Scandinavian design.
Scansonic HD M30.2 Floorstanding Speakers Pair Black
The flagship speaker of the range, the M30.2 features a 3-way design with dedicated ribbon tweeter, midrange, and bass drivers. Rather than employing a bass reflex ported design, the new M-series is a sealed cabinet with additional passive bass drivers on the rear. The M30.2 features two 6″ x 9″ oval passive drivers adding to its rich, full bodied sound.
Like other speakers in the new M-series, the M30.2 features a bold design, with straight lines and angular features like the angled top plate and angled front corners. This gives this new range a truly unique look and cements that the Danish company is still bringing a sleek Scandinavian design aesthetic with modern sensibilities to this all new range.
