　　We are excited to announce the new Krell Cipher SACD/CD player. The Cipher extends the 
　elegant Krell industrial design while advancing the state of the art in SACD/CD reproduction. 
　Housed in a classic Krell machined Aluminum cabinet and available in silver or black, the
　beautiful exterior only hints at the sophisticated disc playback technology within its walls.
　　Featuring an advanced disc drive and coupled to the latest Krell digital and analog output 
　circuitry, the Krell Cipher delivers the ultimate performance from today’s highest resolution 
　source material. Every performance enhancement is incorporated to retrieve the most
　accurate signal from SACD and CD music titles. Isolated mechanically from the underlying 
　chassis, the drive mechanism utilizes composite mounts to minimize vibration induced errors. 
　Special sound dampening material is strategically placed inside the unit to minimize mechanical 
　resonances even further. Krell customized disc drive firmware enhances reading accuracy,
　drive mechanics, and operational parameter. As an ultimate final step, the separate SACD
　and CD laser heads are individually calibrated by hand for the precise output levels required
　for reference quality SACD and CD playback.
　　All signals are fed into a custom designed Krell anti-jitter module that reduces jitter to a 
　virtually immeasurable level. From there, signals are fed to a 24 bit/192 KHz digital filter and
　then to a pair of balanced 24-bit/192 kHz digital-to analog converters (DACs). Conventional 
　players use one DAC for both channels and convert the current output of the DACs to
　voltage, a process that invariably causes signal distortion. Instead, the Cipher uses one DAC
　per channel and feeds the native balanced current output directly to Krell Current Mode 
　circuitry. The sonic penalties of current-to-voltage conversion are thus gracefully avoided.
　By using balanced DACs, the Cipher maintains a dual differential balanced signal from the
　DACs all the way to the output connections. This lowers distortion and improves signal to
　noise ratio to their maximum levels. Core Krell technologies of discrete, complementary, direct 
　coupled circuitry are employed throughout the surface mount based output stage. Evolution 
　CAST and balanced connections are included for optimal stereo playback. Multichannel SACD 
　playback is also supported.
　　The backbone of all audio components is the power supply which is often minimized in lesser 
　players. The Cipher includes independent power supplies for the digital and analog sections to 
　maintain signal isolation between these circuit areas. The Cipher linear power supply is sourced 
　directly from the designs used in Krell Evolution e Series amplifiers. This massive design 
　preserves the dynamic contrasts that can get muted in players using switching or digital power 
　supplies.

　　The Alpha USB is an asynchronous High Speed USB to digital audio interface that provides
　 the highest possible audio quality from computer audio sources.
　　The Alpha USB features a High Speed USB 2.0 input data connection and selectable audio

　　It is nearly impossible to fully express the impact Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has had on the 
　identity of our home, Vienna. This importance is the same with us at Vienna Acoustics and the 
　model loudspeaker, now in its third generation, which we have chosen to name for this most 
　famous musical innovator.
　　Taking into full account the importance Mozart represents, we have recreated the Mozart 
　Grand with refinements effecting virtually all critical components. One area we will not change
　is how and where we build each piece. For more than twenty years each loudspeaker we
　create is hand crafted in Vienna, Austria with only the finest components and expertly crafted, 
　custom cabinetry.　Beginning with our longstanding belief that the foundation of a proper 
　loudspeaker design lies within the quality of its drivers, we have worked extensively on building 
　tighter and tighter tolerance drive units. It is with this constant improvement in our driver 
　production and testing that we found the first ways of making improvements to this model. In
　addition to these difficult improvements in driver production, we have replaced the second
　woofer with a new Spider-Cone™ woofer.
　　While it would have been possible to complete this new product with these improvements,
　we decided to continue researching ways of improving the crossover as well. The final sonic 
　improvements as a result of these collective changes are greater clarity, speed as well as
　greater bass extension without giving up any of the famed musical quality and rhythm inherent
　in all our designs.
　　The final reward for this painstaking effort is presented here in our new Mozart Grand 
　Symphony Edition. This new evolution sets the stage with new levels of scale and authority.

　　　With richly layered staging and finely rendered textures, the Phantom preamplifier reveals 
　　subtleties previously heard in Evolution Two based systems only. The Phantom is also the
　　first Krell preamplifier to offer crossover capabilities. The crossover functionality allows a 
　　subwoofer/satellite speaker arrangement to maintain the highest quality sonic performance 
　　possible. Previous to the Phantom preamplifier, this system configuration would require
　　signals to pass through a subwoofer’s lower quality crossover circuitry.
　　・Crossover Highlights
　　　Owing to Krell’s work in the Modulari Duo Reference loudspeaker, the unique crossover 
　　feature is a highly sophisticated option. Definable parameters include independently assignable 
　　crossover frequencies and filter types for the high and low pass sections. Choices include
　　40Hz, 55Hz, 75Hz, and 100Hz crossover points with 12dB, 24dB, and 48dB Butterworth or
　　24dB Linkwitz-Riley style filters. A major advantage to using the crossover section is the
　　high pass portion uses the full Phantom preamplifier circuitry for its output stage.
　　・Circuitry Highlights
　　　The Phantom preamplifier is dual monaural circuit design with the left and right channels 
　　afforded their own power supply regulation and individual full chassis sized boards. All signal
　　gain is realized in surface mount topology using proprietary multiple-output current mirrors
　　with nearly 500 times the open loop linearity of other designs 1.5 MHz open loop bandwidth
　　in a zero feedback, balanced, Krell Current Mode design terminating in Krell CAST. Negative 
　　feedback is not used anywhere in the preamp, nor is it necessary. The volume control is
　　realized with a balanced resistor ladder — bandwidth and transient response of the preamp 
　　circuitry are virtually unaffected by the volume setting.
　　・Power Supply Highlights
　　　The Phantom audio circuits receive power from a Krell Current Mode analog power supply 
　　housed in its own dedicated chassis. The power supply avoids the common integrated circuit 
　　topology used in many preamplifiers and instead mimics the design topology of Krell Evolution
　　e Series amplifiers. The circuitry is completely discrete giving it the ability to respond quickly
　　to current demands and also be unaffected by all but the most severe AC voltage power 
　　fluctuations. Oversized for a preamplifier, the power supply features a 250 VA transformer
　　and 39,600µF of capacitance.

　　　　The Exquisite Extreme Grand is the successor of the Exquisite Grand, which was up till now the most

　　　pride. It is a virtual point-source system, where the centre Diamond tweeters project the image very precise
　　　with incredible stage depth, height and width. The human hearing perceives the whole sound field from the 
　　　Extreme Grand as if being emanated from a single point that contributes to a very natural soundstage,
　　　sometimes small when recording space was small, sometimes very large when the recording was like that.
　　・Cabinet
　　　　The massive cabinet is made of high pressure laminate (HPL) in a multi-layer construction. The cabinet is a 
　　　piece of art in every way, from the use of perfect materials to construction and finish, all are exceptional. The 
　　　use of HPL plates causes the mechanical vibrations of the cabinet to damp to almost zero. This damping of the 
　　　mechanical vibrations of the cabinet is important, because the cabinet should absolutely have no contribution

　　　material of the cabinet. Moreover the whole cabinet has been treated with the KES-process

　　　　This Exquisite loudspeaker can only achieve astonishing musicality by using complex crossover techniques, 
　　　which can be seen as the beating heart of this loudspeaker. This complex in-house developed crossover will
　　　lead all drivers to the right music composition.
　　　　Therefore the crossover can be seen as an orchestra conductor, which will have to turn the information 
　　　received through the loudspeaker cable into a musical spectacle as if it was read from a music sheet.
　　　　Kharma has mastered the art of retaining musical wholeness with the proprietary crossover technique used in

　　・The shape of perfection
　　　　The shape of the cabinets of the new Elegance series has been unchanged with respect to 
　　　its predecessor, the ceramique series, because the shape is fully functional to the way the 
　　　sound develops from the loudspeakers. This is a result of the unique polygonal shaped
　　　cabinet for optimum phase behaviour and minimum group timedelay. Besides, the cabinet is 
　　　made of 35 mm high density MDF to increase the neutrality of the cabinet and is equipped 
　　　with advanced acoustic damping materials to absorb the energy in a wide frequency range.
　　　The actual size of this new Elegance dB7 is optimized for better performance with respect
　　　to its predecessors of the Ceramique series. Moreover the beauty of the design has been 
　　　improved upon, by redesigning the stand and bottom, the redesign of the front grill and
　　　many other small design details.
　　・Living music
　　　　One of the many redesigned parts of the Elegance is the grill of the dB7. This new
　　　improved grill is made detachable by embedded magnets to really have the freedom to

　　・The shape of perfection
　　　The shape of the cabinets of the new Elegance series has been unchanged with respect to
　　its predecessor, the Ceramique series, because the shape is fully functional to the way the 
　　sound develops from the loudspeakers. This is a result of the unique polygonal shaped cabinet 
　　for optimum phase behaviour and minimum group timedelay. Besides, the cabinet is made of
　　35mm high density MDF to increase the neutrality of the cabinet and is equipped with
　　advanced acoustic damping materials to absorb the energy in a wide frequency range. The 
　　actual size of this new Elegance dB9 is optimized for better performance with respect to its 
　　predecessors of the Ceramique series. Moreover the beauty of the design has been improved 
　　upon, by redesigning the stand and bottom, the redesign of the front grill and many other small 
　　design details.
　　・Living music
　　　One of the many redesigned parts of the Elegance is the grill of the dB9. This new improved 
　　grill is made detachable by embedded magnets to really have the freedom to adapt the 
　　Elegance dB9 to your own style. With grill the Elegance gives an elegant and luxury feeling, 
　　where the dB9 without grill shows the beauty of the new composite drivers without actual 
　　showing that a grill could be attached. Therefore the Elegance dB9 can easily blend in both 
　　contemporary as well as modern interiors.
　　・Trimmable rings
　　　The Elegance dB9 has the new special feature of trimmable luxury rings around the drivers, 
　　which hide the mechanical screws of the driver. The unique feature is that the rings are made 
　　magnetic and so can easily be interchanged with other versions of the trimmable rings.
　　・Connectors
　　　New connectors have especially been designed for the Elegance series, which is done for
　　user convenience and for high pressure quality contact. As a result the Kharma Binding Post 
　　system for the Elegance (KBPS-EL) can easily give great contact pressure applied by just
　　the twist of a hand.
　　・Internal cabling
　　　The internal wire for the Elegance series is a combination of unique ultra pure copper and 
　　silver conductors yielding to a highly musical full balanced sound.

　　　A new Spike Disk Suspension System stand (SDSS-stand) has especially been developed

　　2011年Q2発売予定。
　　The Momentum preamp features integral Internet radio, with the capability to tune in 
　thousands of streaming radio stations worldwide. It can also play files stored on 
　network-attached storage (NAS) hard drives, USB memory sticks, and computers. 
　AES/EBU and coaxial digital inputs allow connection of digital source devices such as
　CD players and satellite radio tuners.
　　The analog section of the Momentum represents Dan D’Agostino’s most ambitious preamp 
　design to date. Six balanced XLR stereo inputs allow connection of analog audio sources; 
　unbalanced connections can be made through adapters. The analog preamp circuitry is fully 
　discrete, using separate transistors instead of integrated circuits. Even the digitally controlled 
　volume circuitry is fully discrete, employing an R/2R resistor ladder with relays instead of a
　digital volume control chip or an analog potentiometer. A theater throughput feature lets users 
　incorporate the Momentum preamplifier into a home theater system.
　　The control arrangement is as unique as the circuitry inside. A 3-by-4-inch screen on the
　front shows metadata from digital files, listings of Internet radio stations, and basic operating 
　information for the preamp. The remote is an included Apple iPod touch®, specially
　programmed for this application, which also shows the same information available on the 
　front-panel screen. Through the remote, the user can browse digital audio content from the 
　comfort of the couch.
　　The unit’s power supply employs a unique design D’Agostino has never before used. It offers 
　nearly 1 farad of storage capacitance—three to four times as much as found in many of the
　best high-end amplifiers and far more than ever before used in a preamp. “It’s more like a 
　battery than a power supply,” D’Agostino said. “The power it delivers is extremely pure, totally 
　unaffected by variations at the AC outlet. The result is extremely low noise and sound that’s 
　more pristine than I’ve ever heard from a preamp.
　　“I’m eager to see the reactions of our customers and dealers to this new design,”
　 D’Agostino continued. “Not only does it push digital technology to the limit, it takes analog 
　 preamp technology to heights never before achieved. You could say it’s the best of both 
　 worlds.”
